​We Can Be Heroes is back on Sunday, 5th July from 1pm at Signature Brew Blackhorse Road, E17. We're showcasing some of the best young musicians on the big stage all afternoon, with a mix of bands and solo artists playing rock, pop, indie, hip-hop and more. Come along and support the future of live music!

Performance slots at our events are for young people aged 19 and under only. Limit is three songs per band (for a maximum of 15 minutes) and two songs per soloist / duo (for a maximum of 10 minutes), and they can be original songs or cover versions in any music genre. 

 

We offer spaces on a first-come, first-served basis, whilst maintaining a balance of bands and solo performers. We will endeavour to let all applicants know as soon as we can. We maintain a waiting list once the performance slots are full, and slots often do become available near to or on the day.

Our all-ages events are an opportunity for young musicians to perform live on stage, and everyone is welcome. They are free entry for all under-19s, whether performer or attending, with a small charge for adults to support our mission to provide performance opportunities for young musicians. We want to encourage young people to support each other, whether they're performing or watching.

We welcome applications from any and all young musicians in any genre, from bands to solo per formers. If you're 18 or under and want to perform, please get an adult to submit our Google Form (above). Spaces are limited, and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

We run an event that strives to be both safe and inclusive. Please note that there will be live music at this event. Whilst we will make every effort to monitor the sound levels, you may want to consider ear protection for children.
