We Can Be Heroes

Christmas is coming, and We Can Be Heroes is back for some festive fun! We're taking over Walthamstow Trades Hall on the afternoon of 6th December from 1pm with two great local acts from Waltham Forest Music Service: Funk in the Forest and Choir of Joy.

They'll be performing seasonal songs to get you feeling festive. Plus, there will be music from the WCBH DJs, face painting, and the cheapest bar in E17. 

​

It's just £6 for adults in advance, and free for under-18s. Adult tickets will cost £7 on the door. Half of all the proceeds will go to Waltham Forest Music Service to help fund their awesome work. Advance tickets can be purchased here. 

 

We are then back at Signature Brew Blackhorse Road E17 on 30th December for our New Year's Eve Eve party! A showcase of young musicians, all performing on the big stage, at a later start time than usual: 4pm! It's gonna be the best New Year's Eve Eve party ever! It's free for anyone 19 or under, and just £5 for adults in advance (£6 on the door). Tickets for that event are available here.

Our all-ages events are an opportunity for young musicians to perform live on stage, and everyone is welcome. They are free entry for all under-18s, whether performer or attending, with a small charge for adults to cover our costs. We want to encourage young people to support each other, whether they're performing or watching.

We welcome applications from any and all young musicians in any genre, from bands to solo per formers. If you're 18 or under and want to perform, please get an adult to submit our Google Form (above). Spaces are limited, and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

We run an event that strives to be both safe and inclusive. Please note that there will be live music at this event. Whilst we will make every effort to monitor the sound levels, you may want to consider ear protection for children.

We Can Be Heroes CIC (community interest company number 16419092) is a London-based, all-ages, not-for-profit, community event providing young musicians with an opportunity to perform live on stage.
